 Responsibilities |
The
Disaster Action Team is the first response team
to local disasters in our five county areas,
including the City of Charlottesville and Counties
of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and
Nelson.
Some
responsibilities of DAT Members include:
1.
Providing essential emergency assistance such
as food, clothing, shelter, and emotional support
to victims of natural and man-made disasters.
2.
Registering all individuals and families involved
in the disaster while completing Red Cross caseworker
forms.
3.
Acting as the Red Cross point of contact with
Emergency Officials at the scene of a disaster. |
