The
Central Virginia Chapter of the American Red
Cross is looking for volunteers who want to
promote the mission of the American Red Cross
by participating in community events and programs.
These volunteers also educate community organizations
about disaster preparedness and recruit new
volunteers.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
include:
Working with the Emergency Services Director
and Executive Director to select appropriate
presentations and/or presence for various
community events and programs.
Personally
staffing community events and programs
Recruiting
new volunteers and helping them fill out applications.
Helping
new volunteers discover their area of best-fit
with our Central Virginia Chapter.
Designing
posters and materials for various events and
programs.
Qualifications
Must
possess a positive attitude and enthusiastic personality.
Must have good written and oral communication
skills. Must have the ability to work with diverse
populations at various levels of economic scales
while following the basic principles of the Red
Cross.

and depends upon events going on in the community.
