Each
year, the Central Virginia Chapter of the American
Red Cross responds to hundreds of disasters including
house or apartment fires (the majority of disaster
responses), hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes,
hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents,
explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters.
We assist disaster victims in meeting their emergency
needs to include shelter, food, clothing and emotional
support.
Whether
it is a fire, hurricane or flood it is essential that
you, your family and/or your business know about the
services available to you from the Central Virginia
Red Cross.
